Imo APC Guber primaries: National Working Committee affirms Uche Nwosu is Imo APC Guber Candidate

The appeal panel set up by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling APC to look into the grievances arising from the governorship primary election in Imo State has affirmed the election of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu as candidate of the party in the state.
The panel, which was headed by a former Governor of Edo State, Prof. Osunbor Oserheimen, also dismissed the petitions filed by other governorship aspirants challenging the result of the election.
The petitioners, Chucks Ololo, Chris Nlemoha and Chima Anozie, had in their separate petitions, claimed that the exercise was marred by irregularities which made it impossible for them and their supporters to participate.
However, the panel after its deliberations, adopted in whole the report of the Brig. Gen Ibrahim Agbabiaka’s (Rtd) governorship primary committee which conducted the election.
…We’re not aware – Coalition
However, Chairman of the APC Restoration Coalition in Imo State, Dr. Theodore Ekechi, said the coalition is not aware of the decision of the party to adopt Uche Nwosu as gubernatorial candidate.
Dr. Ekechi, however, said if the decision stood, it would betray common sense because the case was before a court of competent jurisdiction.
He said, “I have seen a couple of the reports online and it would be against common sense and natural justice because the case just came up yesterday (Wednesday) where we were all together, including Uche Nwosu,” he said.
