Afro Pop singer Duru Chidi Nosike aka Nosi has said it is funny how most artistes usually started singing from the church choir at a tender age.

Nosi said it would be better if artiste start saying the truth about them, adding that one does not need a music background to be a good artiste.

“Some go to the extent of saying their parents were in the choir, but I don’t think all that will replace the strand of chromosomes in your DNA with solfa notations”

“I never had a music background per say. I never sang in the church choir, but music has always had a great influence on me and doing it has always been one thing that’s there for me”

The Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State born artiste went on to say that he wants to do something different with music.

“People come here for many reason”, he said, adding that it is fun to some, while to for others it is a job.

“Many artistes are out there because there’s no standard. Even wack artistes often find limelight”

“For me music is a tool. I want to bring worlds together with my music. I want change the notion amongst Africans especially that musicians are touts and mostly never do wells. I want to heal people; restore and make a better world for the next generation” he said.

Signed to 89Republik Entertainment, Nosi is set to release the audio and video of the single ‘African Magic’, an afro pop track he believes will do all the talking for him.

According to him, the single ‘African Magic’ which is produced by BenyJo and video directed by UJproFilms, will be released on the first week of September 2018.
