Ideato people cry to Okorocha: Over Okwelle-Isiekenesi-Ntueke road

The people of Ideato in Imo State, have lamented over the condition of Okwelle-Isiekenesi-Ntueke road popularly called the Ideator-Owerri Road.

Speaking with newsmen in Owerri on Thursday, an indigene of Ideato South Local Government Area, Mr. Udodiri Muomife, narrated what he described as hardship that had befallen them.

Muomife said the Okwelle-Isiekenesi-Ntueke road started by Owelle Rochas Okorocha has been abandoned around Amanator/Umueshi axis, adding that the non- completion of the road has wrecked havoc on them seriously.

“I must commend our brother the governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha for the super development strides going on in the state. He is indeed a true son of Ideato Nation.

“The one that is giving the entire of people of Ideato sleepless nights is the road called Ideato-Owerri Road. This road precisely is Okwelle-Isiekenesi-Ntueke Road. The construction work started and stopped around Amanator-Umueshi axis thereby subjecting us to hardship.

“The governor needs to know that what is remaining on the said road is just two kilometers. The governor as a listening leader and son of the soil should please call back the contractor to site. We have indeed suffered a lot” He maintained.
