Trouble! Fashion Designer Arraigned in Court for ‘Damaging’ Clothes Worth N138k, Granted N150k Bail

A fashion designer has appeared before a
court after he allegedly destroyed a
customer's expensive fabric in Abuja.

Mohammed Dieng, a fashion designer, was
on Friday arraigned in a Karu grade 1 area
court, Abuja, for allegedly damaging a
customer's clothes. he damaged clothes
were said to be worth N138, 000.

Dieng was granted bail to the tune of N150,
000. The 26-year-old designer was tried on
a two-count charge of criminal breach of
trust and cheating, which contravened
sections 312 and 322 of the Penal Code.

Hassan Ishaq, the judge, also ordered the
defendant to produce a reliable surety in
like sum and adjourned the matter until
July 19 for hearing.
