Imsu ASUU Suspends three months old strike ..academic activities resume in Ernest.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in Imo State University,owerri (IMSU) has Finally suspended the three months old industrial action embarked upon on 21st March 2016 to press home their demands from the state Government .

Rising from an emergency congress of the Union today wednesday 22nd june 2016 at the university which started around 10am and stopped at about 1pm, the Asuu Branch Chairman, Dr Chidi Nwadiaro , expressed satisfaction with the entire union members to suspend the strike and hereby called on all students of imo state University to resume school.
With the suspension of the strike and resumption of academic activities at the institution, all Students are expected to resume school this week as academic activities commence fully on Monday 27th June 2016...

Second semester begins in Ernest.
